A school project commissioned by the National Hearing Foundation to increase awareness about Noise-Induced hearing loss. We (my team) were tasked to change the behaviour regarding hearing protection in MBO-students as they are the group that are most likely to work in environments that are too loud.
We have developed a game for the HTC Vive. The player is placed in an ear where he or she must stop sound waves. The game indicates how well the player is doing through audio and visual changes. We also made a mobile version of the game (not in VR) that uses the accelerometer and gyroscope sensors to control the game. The player has to move the phone around to block sound waves.
I was the game designer for the team, taking care of the GDD, concepting & prototyping and testing. Furthermore, I hosted the focus group sessions and pitched/presented our work.
